The state unit of the All India Anti-Terrorist Front (AIATF) today protested against the anti-national approach of hardliner Hurriyat leader Masarat Alam. The front members urged the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Central Government to shift Alam and all other militants and separatist leaders to Tihar or any jail outside the state from state jails. The Jammu unit of the AIATF today held a protest in the Gandhi Nagar area, which was led by state president of the front Bharat Bhandari. Chairman of the Jammu unit of the AIATF Vijay Kumar Sharma, senior vice-president Harvinder Singh Gothra, secretary Gourav Mahajan, media secretary Prince Khajuria and others were part of the protest. The front gave an ultimatum to the Central Government to shift Masarat Alam and other such Kashmiri separatist leaders to outside jails to bring peace and prosperity in the state, otherwise people like Alam would destroy the brotherhood and nationalist culture of Jammu and Kashmir with their provocative activities. Bhandari also cleared that if such anti-nationalists were not shifted outside state, the AIATF will come on the roads against it. He said Pakistan was continuously attempting to push terrorists inside the Indian territory, especially Jammu and Kashmir, to spoil peace. At the same time if people like Masarat Alam and his other separatist mates tried to create such an atmosphere in Kashmir, it would not be tolerated.[...]
