The All India Anti-Terrorist Front led by M. S. Bitta on Saturday demanded that Parliament attack case convict Afzal Guru be hanged immediately and asked the Government to “show seriousness” in the matter.
Addressing a protest march attended by families of those killed in the December 13, 2001, Parliament attack, Mr. Bitta said the Government should show its “seriousness by hanging him, without any delay”.
“Incidents like 26/11, Varanasi blast are still happening...so what is the war against terrorism by the Government?” he asked.
He said the Government should follow the Supreme Court verdict and hang Guru on December 13 itself.

Guru was awarded death sentence by a Delhi court on December 18, 2002 after being convicted of conspiracy to attack Parliament on December 13, 2001, waging war against the country and murder.
Nine security personnel, including five policemen, were killed when suspected Pakistan-backed terrorists attacked Parliament on December 13, 2001.
