S P Ahuja's father , Late Shri Surjan Singh Ahuja was an Industrialist and Philanthropist. He has done immense work for the Textile Market of Mumbai in the C ward for more than 40 years. He was also the Founding President of the Kapda Vyapari Ekta Association which was formed in 1996 at the time of the Central Excise problem . He has also been an active BJP Worker and took up various social causes for the uplift meant of the underprivileged.

Following his father's foot steps , Shri S P Ahuja has also taken up various social and industry related causes for the betterment of society. Shri S P Ahuja is currently serving as the President of the Kapda Vyapari Ekta Association of Mumbai and is doing selfless work for the Textile market. The Kapda Vyapari Ekta Association conducts various functions and events year round for the benefit of every small and big company in the textile market. He is also the Senior Member of the Muhallas Committee of Cuffee Parade and L T Marg Police Station.

He is also the Vice President of the Punjab Association which is over 50 years old and undertakes various causes for the people of Mumbai. He is also serving as the President of the International Sikh Confederation in Mumbai and is also working closely with Shri Guru Singh Sabha Dadar and the Guru Nanak College GTB Nagar Mumbai where he undertakes various programs for young students.

Shri S P Ahuja is immensely involved in safety and security of the citizens of India and is serving as the President of the All India Anti Terrorist Front, Mumbai which does social work for the families of the Martyrs of the Indian Army and Police Force of India. Under his leadership as a President he has undertaken many causes to bring people together to Join Hands against Global Terrorism.

Shri S P Ahuja is also the Prabhari (Incharge) of the Trade and Industry Cell of BJP Mumbai.
